Idaho Angling Services specializes in offering guided flyfishing day or multi day trips from the Sun Valley, Ketchum and Hailey areas. With over 25 years experience guiding anglers on Silver Creek, the Big Wood and Lost Rivers, we can satisfy the needs of both novice and seasoned fly fishers.

Idaho Angling Services is based in south central Idaho, in the small ranching community of Picabo, close to the resort areas of Ketchum and Sun Valley. We are surrounded by great fly fishing opportunities - unexcelled flyfishing is available on the Big and Little Wood rivers, Silver Creek and tributaries, and the Big Lost River. We also arrange fly fishing and sightseeing tours to wonderfully unspoiled New Zealand.

Picabo is located a 30 minute drive south of the world famous Sun Valley Ski and Summer Resort and the towns of Ketchum and Hailey in Idaho's Wood River Valley. Daily air service is available to Sun Valley, Boise, or Idaho Falls. There are many options for accommodations in the Sun Valley area, and for anglers traveling with non-fishing companions, Sun Valley is the perfect base to spend a few days pursuing other activities such as golf, tennis, hiking, horseback riding, river rafting, mountain biking, swimming, shopping and fine dining. You name it, it’s all here and of course in the winter, world class skiing. We are happy to recommended accommodations and other activities to complement your fly fishing vacation. 
 

David Glasscock has been an Outfitter and Guide living and fly fishing in the Sun Valley area for 30 years. He has personally guided and taught thousands of anglers to fly fish for trout. He lives in the small ranching community of Picabo near the banks of Silver Creek and has co-authored the definitive book on this stream, “Silver Creek - Idaho’s Fly Fishing Paradise”. David and his knowledgeable staff of guides are ready to show you the finest fly fishing Idaho has to offer! With David’s love for trout and the environs in which they are found, it was a natural extension to spend the North American winters in New Zealand, as he has done since 1987. David has over two thousand days of fly fishing downunder. In this time he has gained an unmatched knowledge of the fisheries, fishing techniques, kiwi guides, accommodations and travel, and puts this knowledge to work planning custom fishing and sightseeing tours to the Land of the Long White Cloud, “Aotearoa”.
